Recently, I have been exposed to English environment. So I miss Japan and listen to the Japanese old songs that I used to listen. I now realise that lyric of moral from Boowy in 1980's is very good. They knew the world have been polluted by modern society losing humorous characteristics. So, they put cynic in their lyrics. One example is that ' I like unhappiness that happened to people'. When I was a student, I did not understand the meaning of it. Burt, I now know it. Under competitive world, human want competitors being unhappy. Even if they are colleagues, their unhappiness mean good chances for their promotions. This must not be good for their mentality. I sometimes think what is a correct way to live. Is it good for me to work in a big company? I can hardly say that.
最近、英語漬けになっているせいか、日本の歌、特にBOOWYをよく聞いてます。 年代のせいもあるかもしれないが、BOOWYってやっぱりスゴイと思う。 聞いていて、革命的なものを感じます。なんというか、その時代を生き抜いている躍動感、覚悟、そういうものを感じるんです。 時は、バブル。経済的繁栄を謳歌し、皆が決められたレールを歩く、そんな世の中だからこそ、生まれたのかもしれません。 最近の音楽は、聞いていて退屈。 音楽的に洗練されてるのかもしれないけど、こういった躍動感を感じない。
この間、このMoral を聞いていたところ、ふと気になるフレーズが流れたきました。 それは、
「人の不幸は大好きさ。人の不幸は大好きさ。。。かわいそうだなんか思っちゃいない。チャンスが来たと思っただけ。でもその場にいたら、可哀そうなフリをしてるのさ。 仮面のすぐ裏の下心をひた隠して。。。それがMoralさ。。」
昔は、この歌の意味が、よくわからなかったし、あまり好きではなかった。でも、よく考えると、
日本社会を風刺していたんだなぁーと思う。 人の幸せに嫉妬を感じ、他人の不幸を喜ぶ。
これって、それほど珍しいことじゃないんだよねぇ～。
なんて言ってる場合ではなく、そろそろ勉強します。 明日は試験があるので。。。
