Happy New Year.
'Seven sisters' is a famous place for hiking in South England. It is located the east of Brighton. It takes 30min by bus from Brighton. Unfortunately, the day we travelled was cold. However, hiking was good exercise. We had walked for 2-3 hours. The scenery was beautiful despite the bad weather. I am sure it must be much better in summer. I can imagine the white cliffs reflect sunshine in front of the sea and it would be shinning. Also, there must be blue sky..I must visit again.
I went there with a girl who I met in London. She was from Canada and traveled alone. She asked me 'where can I go to seven sisters?' I said ' I can guide and go with you, if you want. This is an opportunity. After hiking, we went to a Greek restaurant which served many kinds of sea foods. They were delicious and better than those of Southampton. In the restaurant, I asked her 'why you traveled alone ?' She answered 'I lost love'. It depends on people how they behave when they are depressed. In my case, I would go to a hot spring rather than traveling. It's more relaxing.
あけましておめでとうございます。
ロンドンでの年明けを終え、疲れから、2日は動けず、ベッドの上で休養。そして、3日はロンドンで知り合いになった女性と、一緒にセブンシスターズという、Brightonの近くにある海岸を歩きました。 彼女とロンドンで会った時に、ここに行ってみたいと言っていたので、それが、男心をくすぐり、「じゃぁ、俺が。。」とついつい言ってしまったのが、きっかけです。 しかし当日は、マイナス2度。 そんな状況でのハイキング。。あんまりサウンド良くないですよね。でもクリスマス休暇中の毒を抜くには、丁度良かったです。長く続く白亜の壁が、海岸にそびえ立っていて、綺麗でした。これが夏だったら、白亜の壁が、太陽の光が透明な海に反射して輝くんだろうな。。なんて思うと、また晴れた日に来てみてもいいかもしれないと思いました。全部で3時間ほどのウォーキングでしたが、無事、男の義務を果たし、ガイド成功。正直、ガイドブックもないので、迷ったらどうしよう、とちょっと不安になってました。
その後、彼女とBrightonでギリシャ料理の店に入りました。海の近くだけあって、魚介類がメインの店でした。 食事中に、彼女に、なんで一人旅しているのか聞いたところ、「失恋したから」とのこと。 失恋したら、外国にねぇー。自分の場合は、温泉でリラックスするけどね（おやじ臭いな）。。。
